Turn your water heater's thermostat down to 120 degrees to restrict heat loss and save a possible trip to the ER from a little one being scalded by hot water! The exception: dishwashers. Check if yours has a "booster heater" for sanitizing 140-degrees during the rinse cycle (mine does, saves me a lot of $$$) . Your annual savings could be up to $450 for a typical family of 4.
