Solo Cups and Plates Prize Pack Giveaway and Review!

The Solo Cup Company shipped me this awesome box of products to try and review for my readers here at The Nikolai Nuthouse last week.  I figured with the holiday weekend coming up it would be a great time to put them to the test!  The Solo Cup Company makes paper and plastic cups, plates and bowls which are perfect for picnics and parties!!

I was happy to see the Bare by Solo products in the package the company shipped me.  The Bare line are products that are made using recycled, recyclable, compostable or renewable materials, and since I'm all about recycling and saving not only our planet but money these are a plus in my eyes.  These plates are sturdy and held up really well with hot and heavy foods.

My 7 year old even decided that he could glue two together face to face with rocks inside of them and make a great noisemaker for our party which he decorated with colorful markers.  Unfortunately he wouldn't let me take a photo to show you, because he stated his project wasn't "blog worthy enough" to show everyone.  :)

We have been using Solo cups forever within our  household.  From daily use, family parties to ummm shall we say "adult beverage" games using tables and ping pong balls we can always find a use for them.  (Yes, I have college age kids!)

AND we wash and reuse a large portion of them.  With a family of 6 we are ALWAYS running out of our regular cups because someone is too lazy to unload the dishwasher. So I make sure we have a supply on hand.

I love the fact that they have introduced a new Solo cup that you can peel off a lable and scratch your name or whatever design you want on it and you no longer need the Sharpie to distinguish what cup is yours!! Go Solo!!!

We also tested out the Heavy duty dinner and dessert paper plates.  They held up well to cutting (chicken) and greasy (this is Wisconsin, we can't have a Labor Day Party without Brats!) grilled items.  They are going to be a staple in our home from now on.  No more cheapie paper plates for this girl.  You don't need to worry about anything soaking through and ruining your clothes while you are balancing your plate on your lap! :)

We had a great time today during our Labor Day Party, and thanks to Solo I didn't have to purchase our dinnerware and cups.  Thanks Solo for giving me the opportunity to review these products for my readers and the ability to Give a Prize Pack to one of my readers!!  For more info on Solo and their vast variety of products visit them at http://www.solocup.com/

One lucky Nikolai Nuthouse reader will win the Solo cup and plate prize pack similar to the one I received for this review.  This prize pack will ship directly from Solo.
